It's always a good idea when you purchase organic products to double check to be sure the farm or company is honest in their claims. If you click on the link: View Our Certification Papers you will be able to download or look at a .PDF file of our certifications. We are inspected by the Colorado Department of Agriculture. They are the 3rd party inspection agency that routinely checks us out to see if we are following the USDA organic program for livestock and our crops.
As a meat producer we must have 2 certifications in order to call a grass fed product USDA organic. One is need for the “Crops" in our case grass and one for the actual "Livestock" Cows, Lambs, Goats, ECT
These 2 separate certifications are difficult to get. However, we feel it is a necessary step to assure you that our meats are not tainted or compromised due to our farming practices. There are some producers who claim to provide a clean wholesome grass fed product who use artificial fertilizers and pesticides on their grass, crops, or hay production, which ends up in the meat you purchase.
The only way to guarantee the meat is safe, is to buy 100% grass fed USDA certified Organic Meat
