Grass-Fed Goat

            Goat meat, or Cabrito, is one of the most consumed red meats in the world. The consumption of goat nearly doubles beef on a world wide scale.  Not only is grass-fed goat typically leaner than beef and lamb, it also has less cholesterol and more iron then beef, pork and even boneless skinless chicken. Fox Fire Farms organic grass fed goat is also a great source of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) and is a heart friendly meat. Goats are also a true "green" or "earth friendly" grazing animal. Goats take far less inputs/resources or far less high quality food (grass in our case) than beef or even lamb.  High quality pastures require a good amount of irrigation and management to get beef and lamb to be mild in flavor, tender, and to have a high quality/gourmet taste.
